The award-winning fountain pen shape #3776 from Platinum is of course also available in a typical Japanese Maki-e finish. The motifs are painstakingly painted by hand in several layers. In addition to Urushi lacquer, a lot of gold leaf or mother-of-pearl inlays are also used. The motif is applied with a precision that is only possible through years of experience.
The fountain pens have a 14K gold nib and can be delivered in three different line widths. It should be noted here that these are Japanese names, which are usually narrower than comparable European nibs. Platinum uses its own format of cartridges, which we also have in our range. We supply the fountain pen with a converter so that all common inks can be easily used.
