Sailor King of Pen „MOUKO“ Ebonite – A Homage to the Art of Itō Jakuchū
The Sailor King of Pen (KOP) MOUKO is a special piece of Japanese craftsmanship that combines the traditional "Chirashi" ebonite technique with Sailor's technological flagship – the Naginata-Togi nib. Inspired by the powerful contrasts of historical tiger paintings by the artist Itō Jakuchū, this model captivates with its striking, deep pattern.
Material Features
-
The "Chirashi" Ebonite: The barrel captures the uniqueness of tiger stripes. Through a scattering process (Chirashi), black and yellow hues are interwoven into the ebonite. Fine speckles of white provide additional depth and make each piece unique.
-
The Haptic Experience: Ebonite (hard rubber) is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the best materials for writing instruments. It feels pleasantly warm, offers excellent grip, and develops its own unique, noble haptic quality over the years.
The KOP Naginata-Togi Gold Nib
The heart of this large model is the imposing 21-karat gold nib in the King of Pen format. It features the legendary Naginata-Togi grind:
-
Precise Line Variation: The flatter the writing angle to the paper, the broader the line. A steeper hold point creates finer lines.
-
Unique Ink Flow: The interplay of the KOP nib's size and the special grind ensures an extremely rich, flowing ink application and an almost brush-like writing feel.
-
Limited Edition: This model is limited to 500 pieces worldwide. The numbering is located on the cap band.
-
Accessories: Delivered in a matching Sailor box including converter and cartridges.
A timelessly beautiful fountain pen for lovers of classic Japanese craftsmanship and exceptional nibs.
